Hartburn Primary school will be celebrating British Science Week from 13th – 17th March 2023. The
children will be participating in a range of exciting science-based activities throughout the week. In
order to start the week with a BIG BANG, we would like the children to come to school dressed up as
something, or someone linked to science. Let your imaginations run wild; here are some ideas to get
you started:
• Planets in the solar system
• Rockets
• Plants
• Food- healthy eating
• Animals
• Mini beasts
• Eco systems- food chains
• Skeletons
• Dinosaurs
• Magnets
• Robots
• Science based careers: opticians, nurses, doctors, dentists, vets, astronauts
• Weather and the seasons
• You could even come dressed in green to represent the natural environment;
blue to represent the ocean; or a variety of colours to look like a rainbow
The purpose of this day is to celebrate our love for science; please do not feel obliged to go to any
expense. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £1 in order to pay towards resources and
activities that the children will use and take part in throughout the week.
Kind regards,
Miss Danby
